Hi and welcome!
Let me introduce myself. My name is Gabby and I can't go a day without coffee, peanut butter and chocolate. I live in a quiet suburb in Cape Town, South Africa. Illustrating children's books is my passion. It has been my dream to be a children's book illustrator since a very young age. I have been a freelance artist and digital illustrator for the past 13 years, specializing in children's books since 2019. |
I love working with self-publishing authors, children's magazines, presses and any other kid-focused clients.
My work can be described as fun and playful. With my background in caricature portraits, I love adding a touch of humor into my narrative illustration work. Exaggerating features, facial expressions and body language to express emotion and make the reader giggle. I enjoy making people laugh, but I can be serious too. I have illustrated books with religious themes as well as books educating children on important and difficult topics like boundaries and their bodies.
